Swing, batter batter! BOSS signs sponsorship deal with Okotoks Dawgs

Support of WCBL summer collegiate baseball club ‘another step in our evolution as a community partner’

CALGARY, Canada (April 12, 2022)—Play ball!

The Okotoks Dawgs will be back on the diamond May 27 at Seaman Stadium . . . and BOSS Lubricants will be right there in the dugout.

For 30 years, BOSS Lubricants has known the value of a strong team, and what it can do for a community. That’s why, for the next three years through 2024, we’ll be sponsoring the Dawgs as they battle for their sixth league title in the summer collegiate Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL).

“Community partnerships are a fundamental element of who we are at BOSS Lubricants. We’re committed to giving back to the communities across Canada that have supported us since 1992,” says Jarrett Flegel, President and Chief Operations Officer (COO) of BOSS Lubricants.

“We’ve supported Olympian mentorship, Rotary Clubs, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, non-profits that teach life skills, and sports teams—everything from hockey to fastball to soccer to motorsports,” he adds. “We see our sponsorship agreement with the Okotoks Dawgs as another step in our evolution as a community partner.”

This three-year sponsorship and advertising agreement with the Dawgs will see BOSS Lubricants step up to the plate as a presenting sponsor for one, as-yet-undetermined home game in 2022 at Seaman Stadium, a true jewel of a 5,200-seat ballpark on the east side of Okotoks.

The Dawgs captured championships in the WCBL (previously known as the Western Major Baseball League) in 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2019.
