GREASE
Grease is a semisolid lubricant consisting of soap that has been emulsified with mineral or vegetable oil. Grease is sometimes used to describe lubricating materials that are simply soft solids or high viscosity liquids. Grease is applied to mechanisms that can only be lubricated infrequently and where lubricating oil would not stay in position. Greases also act as sealants to prevent the ingress of water and incompressible materials. Grease-lubricated bearings have greater frictional characteristics due to their high viscosity.
The exceptional BOSS line of lithium-complex greases, headlined by Big Blue, Red Stick and Black Bull, is capable of handling high loads and providing long term protection in the most hostile conditions.
Red Stick, an EP (extreme pressure) grease, has been formulated with tackiness, EP and other selected additives along with polymers to provide protection and water washout protection. Big Blue, an MP (multi-purpose) grease, is an outstanding wide temperature range grease that provides exceptionally low start up resistance and prevents bearing leakage at higher temperatures. And Black Bull, an EP grease, encompasses superior rust and corrosion protection of moving parts under extreme pressure, while also providing excellent shock load ability and water resistance.
