COMMUNITY
“Good players inspire themselves. Great players inspire others!”
At BOSS Lubricants, we know the value of a strong team and what it can do for a community. That’s why it is a fundamental part of our Boss Lubricants family to inspire and give back to the businesses and communities that have supported us since 1992. We are proud of the fact that for nearly 30 years, we have been able to give back to causes that are near and dear to, not only the BOSS family, but to our family of customers as well.

Head to Head
Since the fall of 2020, BOSS Lubricants has work with the Head to Head organization through sponsorship of its Olympian-led mentorship programs.
Since 2016, Head to Head’s carefully selected Olympian mentors have connected with more than 12,000 youth across Canada through schools, youth groups and teams—empowering the next generation with the mental resilience and physical wellness to reach their full potential with confidence.
“We believe strongly in helping aspiring young athletes pursue their athletic dreams, as well as helping athletes who have lived in a ‘training bubble’ for most of their young lives transition back into the workforce,” says Jarrett Flegel, President of BOSS Lubricants.
BOSS Lubricants is committed to making life better in the communities where we do business. That’s why we’re proud to work with Head to Head through sponsorship of its Olympian-led mentorship programs.
See our BOSS Bulletin for more information on our partnership with Head to Head, and watch this video as Head to Head founder Martha McCabe talks about her organization and the support of BOSS Lubricants.
Rotary Club of Calgary South
Boss Lubricants owner and founder, Murray Flegel, is a very dedicated and active member of the Rotary Club of Calgary South and was the President in 2015/2016. Boss has been able to financially contribute and volunteer with many different Rotary events such as:
Stampede Dream Home
Country Thunder Music Festival
Stay in School Golf Tournament
Oil Change Day
First Alliance Church organizes a free oil change day to help people and families who are struggling and need help maintaining their vehicle. Twice a year, Boss donates the oil for about 60 vehicles to have their oil changed for free at this event. At the April 2022 event, this partnership yielded an oil change for the vehicles of 52 local families; at the August 2021 event, it yielded 55 oil changes.
Youth Unlimited and Motive Action
Youth Unlimited and The Motive Action Foundation are both organizations that are dedicated to ensuring that youth and adults have access to fundamental work and life skills as well as various other resources. BOSS Lubricants helped establish the Motive Action Charity Golf Tournament (now sold out every year) to raise thousands of dollars. BOSS Lubricants is still a major sponsor and contributor of this event.
Golf Tournaments
Corporate golf tournament sponsorships are a valuable way for Boss to help support our customers and their employees in a fun relaxed setting. Whether it’s being able to golf in the tournament or donating mystery pails for door prizes, we are happy to help out.

Gordie Howe C.A.R.E.S Pro Am Tournament
Every year we have the great honor of putting together a team to play in the Gordie Howe C.A.R.E.S Pro Am Tournament. These tournaments help raise money and awareness about Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Health and Wellness
From personal and company charities, and through our customers and their charities we’ve helped support multiple food banks and cancer foundations across the country as well as the Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Aga Khan Foundation and many, many more.
We’re proud of the charities, events and teams we support. We continue to be inspired by our customers and employees in their efforts to make our communities the best they can be. Boss Lubricants looks forward to continuing our support and to motivate more people to get involved.
