CALGARY, Canada (July 7, 2021)—It’s time to power up.

France-based NYCO is globally recognized as a manufacturer of high-performance lubricants for the automotive, industry, defense and aeronautics industries.

And the NYCO name will be a little more familiar in Canada in the future, thanks to an agreement last week that saw BOSS Lubricants awarded distribution rights for NYCO’s TURBONYCOIL 600 lubricating oil, used primarily in power generation.

“BOSS Lubricants is proud to be an authorized distributor for TURBONYCOIL 600, which is approved for use by major stationary industrial gas turbine manufacturers,” says Jarrett Flegel, BOSS Lubricants’ President and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

NYCO’s turbine oils are known for their superior lubricity, thermal oxidation stability, engine cleanliness and resistance to foaming. TURBONYCOIL 600 has a viscosity of 5 centistokes (cSt) at 100 degrees Celsius, is based on high-thermal stable polyol esters, and is fortified with carefully selected antioxidant, antiwear and anti-corrosion additives.

TURBONYCOIL 600 is approved by all major engine manufacturers. It’s used by major oil companies, packagers and service companies worldwide, and has logged more than 60 million operating hours since 1985.

BOSS has been the fastest-growing lubricant manufacturer and wholesaler in Canada for the past two decades, with 10 branch/warehouse/storage/distribution locations across the country.

“We at BOSS will utilize our distribution network to provide NYCO customers with better service, support and product offerings,” says Flegel.
