CALGARY, Canada (April 23, 2021)—BOSS Lubricants, Western Canada’s largest independent lubricant manufacturer, has further expanded its Alberta distribution and delivery network by acquiring Edmonton-based Daystar Petroleum Ltd.

“Our team has been successful in serving our customers throughout the years, and this opportunity is the next step as part of our strategic growth plan. I’ve been working with BOSS Lubricants in different capacities over the years, and I knew they would be a good fit for our customers,” say Joe Stang, and Joanne Dykstra, co-owners of Daystar Petroleum. “They have made taking care of their customers and employees their highest priority.”

Remarks Jarrett Flegel, President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of BOSS Lubricants: “Daystar Petroleum is a well-run company with excellent customer service and a well-maintained fleet of trucks. This acquisition allows BOSS Lubricants to further its density and service coverage to Edmonton and northern Alberta. We welcome Joanne, Joe and the Daystar team into BOSS Lubricants.”

The acquisition closed effective April 15, 2021.
